The company EBP “Entreprise de Bureautique Professionnelle” has its origins in the company of René Sentis, a lawyer and chartered accountant by training, which he created in 1984 in France.
EBP connector
EBP informatique has specialized in accounting and business management software since its inception, and has grown rapidly from 10 people in 1990 to 45 in 1994, then to 90 in 1998 to reach 550 in 2021.
The company, still managed by its founder, wants to be family and refuses any request for merger of major Anglo-Saxon groups. Today, this French nugget claims more than 560,000 customers. In 2019, it achieved a turnover of €50M. The explosion of online sales has forced companies to look for solutions to retrieve information from these new sales channels in their business management tools.
The wide distribution of EBP management software packages and Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce e-Commerce platforms led us to develop an initial configuration of exchanges between the ERP and E-commerce CMS:
– Sending the EBP item catalog to Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce, the “keystone” of identification of an item being its reference, both in EBP and in Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce. The items extracted from EBP to feed Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce are described by the reference, designation, base price, VAT identification (in correspondence between EBP and Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce), weight, available stock (either physical stock or forward stock, on a given deposit or by aggregation of all deposits).
– Recovery of customers who have placed an order on the Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce site, either by attaching the different delivery addresses to a single generic web client in EBP, or by creating a customer in EBP for each new customer in Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce (separate identifier in Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce).
– Recovery of orders registered on the Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce site, including header information (customer contact details in particular), details of order lines in association with the reference of the article, information on the amount of shipping costs and the possible use of a voucher. This last information (shipping costs and discount vouchers) is retrieved in the form of a specific item line.
– Sending Prestashop, Magento, Shopify or Woocommerce an acknowledgment of receipt of orders correctly integrated into EBP, so that at the next extraction of orders from EBP, only those that have not already been integrated into EBP are extracted.
In addition to this initial configuration of the EBP connector <-> Prestashop, Magento, Shopify and Woocommerce, other flows can be made with Open Flux, especially in terms of prices, variations, resource files (images, documents, etc …), taking into account payment methods and integration of regulations, interfaces with other solutions such as logisticians or label publishers, etc …
